About us — a glass neon workshop near Warsaw
Neon Studio & Design has been running since 2000. We keep our own workshop in Rybie near Raszyn, a quarter of an hour from the Warsaw city limits, and we are one of the few direct manufacturers of traditional glass neon in Europe. Nothing is subcontracted — we bend the tubes here, weld the structures here and fit the electronics here.

What “direct manufacturer” actually means
Most companies selling neon signs are middlemen: they take the order and have it made elsewhere. Here the whole process closes in one place — design, glass bending, structure, electronics and the trip to site. That has three practical consequences: the deadline depends on us rather than on a subcontractor's queue; a revision does not cost a week; and if the sign needs repair years later, it comes back to the same hands that built it. Clients who want to see it are welcome in the workshop — a few of them have bent their first curve themselves.
Craft that cannot be automated
Glass neon is made exactly as it was a century ago. The tube is heated with a burner to the point where glass becomes workable, bent by hand against a template, then filled with noble gas — neon for reds, argon with mercury for blues. There is no room for a machine: every bend is a decision made in seconds, by feel for the temperature and the resistance of the glass. That is why glass neon costs more than LED, and why it looks different — the light comes from the whole volume of the tube, not from a point diode.
Work we are proud of
We restored 130 neons for the Neon Museum in Warsaw — a collection that rescues Poland's post-war signage from disappearing. We produced signage for the Warsaw metro, restored the neons from the Cepelia pavilion, and for the Lubaszka bakery built the largest animated glass neon in Poland: 25 by 5 metres, with sequenced control. Our work also lights Hala Koszyki and the Night Market in Warsaw.
As seen on television
We were guests in the studio of “Dzień Dobry TVN”, and the French-German broadcaster ARTE filmed a report on neon craftsmanship in our workshop. Both can be watched on the homepage — they show the workshop from the inside better than any description would.
